Manipur State Kala Akademi Honours 69 Artistes; Governor Leads 2023–24 Awards Ceremony

Imphal, December 5, 2025: The Manipur State Kala Akademi Awards 2023–24 were presented today at the Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy (JNMDA), where Governor of Manipur graced the occasion and honoured 69 outstanding artistes for their contributions across diverse fields of art and culture.

The ceremony marked a significant milestone as the State successfully cleared a two-year awards backlog under the guidance of the Governor, ensuring that all deserving artistes received timely and long-awaited recognition. The awardees represent a wide spectrum of artistic disciplines—including classical and traditional dance, music, theatre, folk arts, literature, painting, craft, and indigenous cultural expressions—reflecting the richness and diversity of Manipur’s cultural landscape.
