AGARTALA, September 1, 2025: In a significant push for grassroots governance, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha today inaugurated a two-day Capacity Building Workshop on Panchayati Raj at the State Panchayat Resource Centre in A.D. Nagar. The event brought together representatives and officials from the state’s three-tier Panchayati Raj system, which the Chief Minister described as a "vital pillar" for ensuring government benefits reach the most remote corners of the state.
During his address, Dr. Saha highlighted the state government’s commitment to empowering Panchayats to drive rural economic and social growth. He underscored the success of the e-Office initiative, which has been implemented across all three tiers of the Panchayati Raj system in Tripura, making it the only state in the country to do so. This digital transformation has brought greater transparency and efficiency to Panchayat functions, ensuring citizens receive services in a timely and accountable manner.
