India took an early lead as Sukhjeet Singh scored in the opening minute, setting the tone for the remainder of the match. The home team strengthened their advantage with a pair of goals by Dilpreet Singh (28’, 45’), and Amit Rohidas added a fourth in the final quarter (50’). Unbeaten throughout the tournament, India showcased disciplined defending and swift counterattacks. The defense held firm against South Korea’s attempts to pressure in the later stages, while the midfield dominated possession.

“We are proud to lift the Asia Cup on home soil and book our place in the World Cup. The team played with unity and focus,” said India’s captain after the victory. The head coach added, “Maintaining this momentum will be key as we prepare for the biggest stage next year”.
