Imphal, August 12, 2025: The Manipur Police on Tuesday arrested an active cadre of the insurgent group People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) - (PRO) in Kakching district as part of their ongoing operations to tackle insurgency in the region.
The arrested individual has been identified as Ms. Elangbam Bijeshwori Devi, also known by her aliases Thoibi and Linthoi. She is 22 years old and a resident of Heirangoithong Maibam Leikai Bokul Makhong in Imphal West district. The arrest took place at Hiyanglam Awang Leikai area in Kakching district.
During the operation, the police seized a mobile phone from Ms. Bijeshwori Devi, which is believed to be of significance to the investigation. Authorities are currently examining the device for intelligence and further leads.
