The meeting was chaired by Mizoram Home Minister K Sapdanga at around 12:30 pm and was attended by officials of the Home Department along with other senior government functionaries.

According to officials, the meeting focused on the implementation of various points listed in the Charter of Demands included in the peace agreement signed with the HPC-D(LF). The discussions mainly centred on ways to effectively execute the agreed proposals and strengthen follow-up mechanisms among the concerned departments.

The Charter of Demands reportedly includes not only rehabilitation and resettlement measures for surrendered HPC-D cadres led by Lalhmingthanga Sanate, but also several developmental proposals aimed at improving infrastructure and socio-economic conditions across the Hmar-inhabited areas.

Among the major proposals discussed were the improvement of road connectivity, establishment of educational institutions and additional government offices, and promotion of agro-based industries to support local farmers and enhance livelihood opportunities in the region.

Officials at the meeting reportedly agreed that the demands and proposals raised by HPC-D(LF) require careful review and coordinated action from multiple government departments. It was decided that the concerned departments would be formally informed in writing so that prompt steps could be initiated for implementation.
