Among the key projects, the 193.05-metre Kamphai Bridge on the Kahre–Tillai road - now the longest bridge built under PMGSY in Arunachal Pradesh—was inaugurated. Built using advanced Cement Treated Base (CTB) technology, the bridge is expected to significantly improve connectivity to Kathan Belt villages, including Tillai, Kamban, Tumba and Kathan, while reducing travel time to Wakro.

The Deputy Chief Minister also inaugurated the NH-15 to Samblu road along with a bridge over Phal Nallah, ensuring all-weather access to previously cut-off areas during monsoons. Additionally, the Medo–Namgo road with a bridge over Namgo Nallah will enhance inter-district connectivity and facilitate smoother transportation of agricultural and tea produce to markets.

Several other infrastructure projects, including bridges over Phai Nallah and Khraipong Nallah, were also dedicated to the public, strengthening last-mile connectivity across the region.

Addressing the gathering, Mein described rural roads as the backbone of economic transformation, highlighting how PMGSY has reshaped access and mobility in remote areas. He emphasized that Arunachal Pradesh has transitioned towards modern engineering practices, strict quality control, and robust monitoring systems to ensure durability of infrastructure.

He acknowledged challenges such as difficult terrain, heavy rainfall, and rising vehicular load, stressing the need for resilient infrastructure and proper maintenance. “Connectivity must not only reach the last village, but it must also sustain the needs of the future,” he said.

The Deputy Chief Minister further noted that improved connectivity is contributing to reverse migration, agricultural expansion, and growth of local enterprises. He urged citizens to leverage enhanced infrastructure to promote small-scale industries, value addition, and tourism.

The inauguration programme was attended by Minister Dasanglu Pul, MLA and Advisor Dr. Mohesh Chai, along with senior officials and local representatives.
