Manipur Marks Grand Finale of National Road Safety Month 2026 in Imphal

Imphal, February 12, 2026: The Grand Finale of the National Road Safety Month Observation 2026 was held at the City Convention Centre, Imphal, marking the culmination of a month-long awareness campaign across Manipur.

The programme was graced by Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh, along with Ministers Govindas Konthoujam and Khuraijam Loken Singh. Chief Secretary Puneet Kumar Goel was also present. The event was presided over by Anurag Bajpai, Additional Chief Secretary (Transport/TCI) & PCCF & HoFF.

A major highlight of the event was the flagging off of Interceptor Vehicles to strengthen road safety enforcement across the state. Road safety equipment was also handed over to Traffic Police and Motor Vehicle Inspectors (MVIs) to enhance monitoring and ensure better compliance with traffic regulations.

In a significant move to improve public service delivery and connectivity, the Manipur Heli Service Portal was officially launched during the programme.

The event also celebrated excellence through the distribution of awards to winners of the Road Safety Marathon and Painting Competition. A short film on road safety was screened, and event partners were felicitated for their contributions to the successful observance of National Road Safety Month.
