“The party will contest all the 29 seats. We do not have any alliance with other parties. We will fight alone in the upcoming elections,” Pala told reporters, ruling out any possibility of seat-sharing arrangements.

He informed that the party has received a total of 67 applications from aspirants seeking Congress tickets for the GHADC polls. Of these, one candidate has already withdrawn, while another is likely to pull out, leaving 65 applicants in contention.

“We will announce the candidates the moment the government notifies and announces the election – that is the normal procedure of the party,” Pala said.

Expressing confidence in the party’s preparedness, the state Congress chief said workers are actively engaged at the grassroots level. “We are ready to face the elections. Our people are on the ground and hopefully we should do well,” he added.

The announcement signals the Congress party’s strategy to independently test its strength across all constituencies in the upcoming GHADC elections.
