The distribution ceremony was held at the Jyoti-Bishnu International Auditorium, where the Chief Minister released more than ₹56 crore to support aspiring entrepreneurs across a wide range of sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, services, retail, and small-scale industries. The initiative aims to help young people establish new enterprises, expand existing businesses, and generate employment opportunities across the state.

Addressing the beneficiaries, Dr. Sarma said the Assam Government is committed to creating a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem by providing not only financial assistance but also mentorship, capacity-building, and institutional support. The Chief Minister stated that empowering youth through entrepreneurship is essential for strengthening Assam's economy and reducing dependence on traditional employment avenues. He expressed confidence that the scheme would encourage innovation, self-reliance, and local enterprise while contributing to balanced regional development.

Under the broader Atmanirbhar Assam initiative, the government has set an ambitious target of empowering nearly 10 lakh young people over the coming years through financial assistance, skill development, and entrepreneurship promotion. Officials said the programme is designed to nurture startups and micro-enterprises, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas, thereby creating a stronger foundation for inclusive economic progress.
