Imphal, Jan 27: Manipur marked a proud moment as Swaty Laishram, a cadet of the 1 Manipur Air Squadron NCC, represented the NCC Group Imphal and the entire North Eastern Region as Contingent Commander at the Republic Day Parade.
According to an official statement issued by Lok Bhavan Manipur, Cadet Laishram’s confident leadership and impeccable drill performance stood out, reflecting the discipline, dedication and excellence upheld by the National Cadet Corps (NCC).
Her selection as Contingent Commander is seen as a significant achievement not only for Manipur but also for the North East, highlighting the region’s growing presence and leadership in national-level platforms. Officials said her performance showcased the high standards of training and commitment instilled by the NCC among youth.
