Sepahijala, Dec 9: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha declared today a “historic day” for Sepahijala district as he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 18 major development projects spanning infrastructure, health, education, and administrative services.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a new chapter of development has begun in the district, promising accelerated progress for its people in the coming years.
Among the notable projects inaugurated was the newly constructed Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s (SDM) Office in Sonamura, which is expected to significantly improve administrative efficiency and public service delivery.
Dr. Saha highlighted the district’s transformative journey, noting that Sepahijala has been freeing itself from longstanding social issues such as ganja cultivation, drug trafficking, and child marriage. With these challenges being addressed, the district is “now moving forward on the path of prosperity,” he said, calling the moment a key milestone toward building a Viksit Tripura.
The 18 projects launched today include initiatives aimed at boosting healthcare infrastructure, strengthening educational facilities, and expanding development across various sectors.
The Chief Minister also extended his appreciation to officials, community members, and all stakeholders for their support in driving the district’s development agenda.
