Guwahati, February 2: The upgraded Swagat Satirtha Portal 2.0 was ceremonially launched by Hon’ble Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at Lok Sewa Bhawan, marking a major step towards simplifying the process of mutual transfers for Grade III and IV government employees in Assam.
Swagat Satirtha 2.0 builds on the success of its earlier version, which approved 4,502 applications, benefitting 9,004 employees across 32 government departments. The revamped portal aims to make the transfer process more streamlined, transparent, and efficient.

Highlighting the importance of the initiative, the Chief Minister said, “Swagat Satirtha 2.0 will bolster our digital governance efforts and enhance transparency in the transfer of government employees.”
The upgraded platform is expected to further strengthen accountability and ease of governance, reinforcing the state government’s commitment to citizen-centric and technology-driven administration.
