The original final result was declared on February 9, 2026, through Notification No. MCS/1/2025-MPSC(PE). However, according to the Commission, information received after the publication of the results revealed that one of the recommended candidates did not satisfy the required eligibility criteria on technical grounds.

The candidate concerned, Samuel Chinsonmung of Churachandpur, Manipur, had secured 965.80 marks and was originally placed at Rank 13 in the merit list. He had been recommended for appointment to the Mizoram Civil Service (MCS). Following a review of the matter, the Commission removed his name from the list of recommended candidates.

As a result of the revision, Lalhruaitluanga of New Ngharchhip, Mizoram, who had initially been placed at Rank 14 with 960.50 marks, has moved up in the merit list and is now recommended for appointment to the Mizoram Civil Service.

The Commission clarified that the issue was identified before any recommendations were formally forwarded to the Government of Mizoram for appointment. Consequently, the revised result has replaced the original notification, and the result declared on February 9 now stands officially withdrawn.

The revised merit list has also led to changes in the allocation of candidates to various services. Lalremsiami of Armed Veng, Aizawl, who secured 936.64 marks, has newly qualified for the Junior Grade of the Mizoram Information Service (MIS) and has been placed at Rank 29 in the revised list.

Another notable change involves GS Zoremtluangi of Khawzawl, who secured 949.38 marks. While she was initially recommended for the Mizoram Information Service, the revised result has upgraded her selection to the Mizoram Finance and Accounts Service (MFAS). She had previously been included in the MFAS panel list and has also reportedly cleared the interview for the Mizoram Health Service Junior Grade.

The MPSC had earlier indicated that the result would be reviewed and revised after the eligibility issue came to light. The Commission reiterated that the newly issued merit list supersedes the earlier declaration in its entirety and should be treated as the final result of the Mizoram Civil Services (Combined Competitive) Examination 2025.

The revision underscores the Commission’s commitment to maintaining transparency and ensuring that appointments to state services are made strictly in accordance with prescribed eligibility norms and recruitment rules..
