Dimapur, Jan 28, 2026: The GPRN/NSCN (N. Kitovi/R.M. Lotha) has announced the suspension of all formal agreements with the Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF–Kamson faction), citing allegations of arson and violence that endangered innocent civilians in villages.

GPRNNSCN Suspends All Pacts With ZUF (Kamson), Bars Participation in WC-NNPG

In a press statement issued through its Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP), the GPRN/NSCN said it was shocked by reports that the ZUF (Kamson faction) had allegedly engaged in arson and acts of violence in collaboration with other Naga groups. It stated that such actions were in clear violation of the merger declaration signed on October 26, 2019, by former ZUF chairman Raitu Chawang and present chairman S. Kamson, as well as the GPRN/NSCN–ZUF Alliance Modalities signed on October 28, 2019.

The group said that ZUF, which had earlier participated in Indo-Naga political negotiations and regularly attended meetings of the Working Committee of the Naga National Political Groups (WC-NNPGs), had now unilaterally indulged in what it described as “communal and sectarian violence,” actions it said were not in the interest of the Naga people.

Stating that the alleged activities ran contrary to Naga aspirations and unity, the GPRN/NSCN, under the leadership of president R.M. Lotha and ato kilonser N. Kitovi Zhimomi, announced the suspension of all formal ties with the ZUF (Kamson faction). It further said that ZUF’s representation has been withdrawn and the faction has been barred from participating in WC-NNPG events.

The GPRN/NSCN said the suspension would remain in force until the ZUF leadership takes steps that are “truly Naga-centric,” reaffirming its commitment to unity and the broader Naga political cause.
